These days, football players do not show a lot of loyalty to one club as they are always looking to improve their game, and if that means leaving their childhood club to pursue their dreams, they are highly likely to do so.

However, this wasn't always the case. During the 2000s and 2010s, one of the main characteristics that defined players in the Premier League was the loyalty that they showed to their respective clubs. First off, we have Liverpool's greatest legend, Steven Gerrard. Even though he was constantly getting offers from other teams, especially when Liverpool was struggling to make ends meet, Gerrard didn't even flinch and decided to show his loyalty to the club, which is why he stayed there until he did retire.

He spent almost all of his professional career at the club. First off, he joined the Liverpool youth team in 1989. In 1998, he was called to the senior team, and the rest is history. He is one of the best midfielders to step on the pitch, and Gerrard stayed at Liverpool until 2015. In 2015, he joined LA Galaxy for a year and decided to retire.

Next up, we have Gary Neville, a player that has shown his loyalty to Manchester United on multiple occasions. We all know the infamous video of him not even saluting Schmeichel in the City-United derby. Back in the day, going from Manchester United to Manchester City was the biggest crime that a player can do, and that is exactly what Schmeichel did, and hence, Neville wasn't happy about it.

Neville started his youth career in Manchester United in 1991 and joined the seniors in 1992 as part of the Class of ’92. He spent his entire senior career in the club and decided to hang the boots in 2011. After retiring, he tested managerial waters but did not have a lot of success.

Numerous football fans are obsessed with the biggest stars in the EPL, which is why they often overlook many loyal players, with Mark Noble being one of them. Thanks to his club loyalty, he is nicknamed Mr West Ham. He ventured on his journey with West Ham in 2000 as part of the club's youth system and joined the seniors in 2004. Even though he was loaned to Hull City and Ipswich Town in 2006, he returned to the club and has been playing there ever since.

Noble has clocked over 450 appearances for West Ham and is by far the club’s biggest legend.
