Your Guide to Multiple Game NBA Bets

Multiple game betting is more complicated than single game betting as more variables are involved. This also gives you a chance for higher payouts. The main forms of multiple game bets are parlays, teasers, props and futures. 

Parlays are bets that are based on the results of one or more events. This can be the outcomes in the same game or the outcomes of multiple games. With a parlay, you can bet on a team winning and the game's total score; you can also add another event to this.  The more outcomes you win, the larger your payout will be.

Parlays can be made up of a variety of point spread, moneyline and total bets. Although not many sportsbooks will allow you to bet on by both the spread and moneyline of the same game as the outcomes are connected.

Teasers are a different form of parlay, which means that you need to bet on more than one event. Teasers allow you to place all your bets against the spread or on the total, and you can change the total or spread. This will decrease your payout depending on how much you changed the numbers for your advantage. Even though you can change the odds, you will still need to predict all your outcomes correctly to win. 

There are proposition bets, which is also known as prop betting. This allows you to bet on things other than the outcomes of games. This would be things like player performance and events within the game. Options in prop bets range from who has the most blocks during the season to the amount of points scored by a specific player in one half.

Most prop bets have a similar format to over/unders, and each sportsbook will have its own set of betting options and payouts. 

Once the NBA season ends, the betting doesn't stop there. NBA futures allow you to stay on next year's upcoming championship. These bets are made before the playoff seeds are decided and give you a chance to bet on the upcoming champion. Other things that can be bet on with NBA futures are individual awards like the Most Valuable Player. 

It is much more challenging to predict award winners before the season has even started, but in most cases, the earlier your bet is placed, the higher your payout will be. A popular wager is the team win totals. Oddsmakers will release their projected win total, which is based on the previous season's results. This is available for all NBA teams, but this form of betting keeps your bet throughout the season, and many sportsbooks will close the bets before the season begins. 

There is also in-game live betting which allows you to bet on games as they are happening. It is similar to pre-game betting as it will enable you to bet on moneylines, spreads and totals. The difference is that the odds and spread will change in real-time based on the game and the number of bets being placed.
